Domaine du Pegau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée Rouge 2022 is a classic, rich, and aging-potential Southern Rhône red wine. Its style is characterized by dark fruit, spice, garrigue, violet, licorice, and leather notes, with a strong and complex structure.

The 2022 vintage is approximately a blend of 80% Grenache, 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre, and a small amount of the traditional Rhône grape variety. It was aged in large oak barrels for about two years, exhibiting a typical and mature Châteauneuf-du-Pape style.

The alcohol content is relatively high, around 16%, resulting in a very full-bodied wine with power on the palate, but not harsh; instead, it unfolds with ripe fruit flavors and delicate tannins.

Reviews consistently mention its notes of red and black berries, black cherry, blueberry, violet, licorice, pepper, herbes de Provence, smoke, leather, and a hint of forest.

Many sources describe it as "ripe, sexy, incredibly complex," with a rich, layered flavor and a long finish. And while it's already quite appealing
