The mouthfeel is dense and smooth, and the freshness underscores the rare minerality of this wine with its astonishing bouquet. This is a wine off the beaten track, where nature and man have worked in harmony to produce a pure delight.

Viré-Clessé Quintaine 2022

After a trilogy of small harvests, we are finally returning to more traditional yields. 2022 is a hot and dry vintage, marked by the July heatwave, which created significant disparities in ripeness between the plots, requiring the harvest to be spread throughout the month of September. Healthy grapes and yields, controlled alcohol levels, make for a seductive yet uncluttered wine. A 2018 with 1% less alcohol, is already ready to drink.

The estate's historic cuvée (since 1985), it was our only cuvée until 2014. Made from a blend of 6 hectares of 6.5 hectares, vinified in concrete vats, it is representative of our Quintaine terroir and the vintage. Although each vintage is different, the estate's style can be recognized in the four vintage typologies, depending on whether they are hot or cool, humid or dry.
