Errázuriz Las Pizarras Pinot Noir 2020 is a top-tier single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Aconcagua Costa cool-climate region of Chile. James Suckling highly praised its elegant tension and chalky texture with 99 points.

Region and Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir from the Las Pizarras single-vineyard in Aconcagua Costa, Chile, with shale and limestone soils and extreme diurnal temperature variations brought by sea breezes.

Winemaking: 30% whole-cluster fermentation, natural yeast, 12 months aging in French oak barrels (gradually decreasing proportion), 13% ABV, pH 3.55, precisely balanced structure.

Color: A brilliant ruby red with purple rims, medium-to-high body, aging potential up to 2030+.

Flavor Characteristics: Aromas: Rosehip, Chilean guava, sour cherry, and fresh spices, accompanied by layers of coffee beans, nuts, and wildflowers, complex and lively. Palate: Red berries transition to spices, floral notes, and damp earth, interwoven with sweet spiciness and roasted nuts. Chalk-like tannins offer elegant persistence, with a straight and pure finish.

Finish: Extremely long and linear, with minerals, dried vanilla, and a touch of salt, finishing precisely and beautifully.

Serving Suggestions: Decant for 1–2 hours, serve at 12°C in a Burgundy glass; pair well with roasted duck breast, game terrine, or spiced red meat, utilizing the chalky texture and fruitiness to elevate the complexities. Peak performance is achieved immediately.
