Georges Laval Garennes Extra Brut NV Champagne ( RP90 )

Georges Laval is located in the village of Cumières in Vallée de la Marne. The family has been making wine since 1694, with only 2.5 hectares of vineyards. Organic farming has been practiced since 1971, and Vincent Laval continues to promote biodynamic and natural winemaking. This particular wine is primarily from the Les Garennes vineyard, comprising 90% Pinot Meunier, 5% Pinot Noir, and 5% Chardonnay. It is fermented in oak barrels, with minimal sulfur, no clarification or filtration, and aged on lees for at least 5 years at extremely low doses. RP90 affirms its rich Meunier intensity and texture.

Flavor Characteristics

Aromas: Dry pear, hazelnut, crushed flowers, and white and yellow fruits, accompanied by pear jam and roasted hazelnuts. The layers unfold with the air, carrying a salty, mineral vibrancy.

Palmistry: Rich and full-bodied, boisterous in style, with a strong Meunier pulp. Medium to full-body, driven by bright acidity, fine bubbles, and a powerful minerality. Finish: A robust, savory, and persistent minerality; vertically precise and full of energy.
