Girard Bonnet Au Bout du Chemin 1er Cru Extra Brut NV Champagne ( RP90)

The Girard-Bonnet family winery is located in the Vertus 1er Cru village of Côte des Blancs, with approximately 7 hectares of vineyards cultivated using biodynamic methods (Demeter certified). This Blanc de Blancs 100% Chardonnay is made with a base of 80% 2021 vintage + 20% reserve wine (2020/2019), in east-facing clay-limestone soils. Fermentation took place in 60% stainless steel and 40% oak barrels (10% new barrels), with lees aging for 36 months at a dosage of only 3g/L. The alcohol content is 13%, and a RP90 score affirms its avant-garde fruitiness and rich texture.

Flavor Characteristics: Aromas: Yellowstone fruit, citrus peel, bread and honey, with hints of passion fruit, melon and white minerality; fresh and lively with a touch of ripe fruit sweetness. Palate: Medium-to-upper body, with delicate bubbles supporting layers of juicy citrus, pear, and hazelnut. Some apple lactic acid contributes to a pillow-shaped texture, vibrant and full-bodied.

Finish: Lingering notes of salt, lemon, and white stone; dry, precise, and full of energy.
