Glaetzer Wallace 2021 (RP92)

Glaetzer Wallace Shiraz Grenache 2021 is a classic GSM blend from the Barossa Valley, dominated by old-vine Shiraz. Its high RP92 score affirms its fruity balance and elegant structure.

It consists of 84% Shiraz (50-80 year old vines) + 16% Grenache (50-100 year old vines), sourced from the Ebenezer region. The Shiraz portion is aged in oak barrels for 16 months (80% French, 20% American, second and third fills), while the Grenache is not oak-aged. It has an alcohol content of 14.5% and an aging potential of 5-10 years.

Flavor Characteristics:
Aromas: Cherry jam, raspberry, rose petals, and violet, with earthy notes, tobacco, and a hint of green pepper, offering rich complexity.

Palmistry: Medium-bodied, silky velvet texture, interwoven with black cherry, blackberry, and strawberry cream. The tannins are smooth, with creamy transition and herbal sweetness. Finish: Medium to long, with notes of dried plum, eucalyptus, and savory minerals, a dry finish.

Decant for 30-60 minutes, serve at 13-15°C in a large-bellied glass; best paired with roasted red meat, game platters, or spice stews.
