Our annual limited edition Festival Single Malt Scotch whisky bottlings are intriguing, bold, and appeal to those looking to be wonderfully surprised.
This year’s release is no exception: a heavy peated spirit distilled in 2013 and matured for seven and a half years in 100% first fill bourbon barrels, before a twelve-month finish in the finest first fill Pedro Ximenez hogsheads.
Glen Scotia was born in a place like no other – the smallest whisky region on the west coast of Scotland that was to become the Victorian Whisky Capital of the World. We’re once again delighted to be opening our distillery doors to friends from near and afar, in a celebration of both Campbeltown and its rich whisky-making heritage.
The Campbeltown Malts Festival takes place for one week every May, and allows those few distilleries that have endured, to step away from their stills and fully open their doors to the local community and visitors from afar. For the workers at our Glen Scotia Distillery, the festival represents their favourite and most anticipated moment of the year – a time for celebration and raising a dram with old and new friends alike.
