Description

This wine is named after the historic Boynsmill House on the GlenDronach estate, commemorating founder James Allardice's establishment of the winery in 1826 and his tradition of pairing fine wines with food and hospitality at the estate. The use of Claret casks pays homage to the Bordeaux wines served on the table back then, rather than aging the entire wine in red wine barrels.

Flavor Profile

Nose: Highland toffee, blackberry, stone fruit, hazelnut, and raisins offer a nutty and dessert-like opening.

Palmistry: Full-bodied mature malt, dried fruit, and nuts, followed by black cherry, plum, caramel chocolate, and soft spice; Claret casks provide red berries, slight tannins, and elegant acidity.
