Description

The green-hued Ode To The Valley uses both sherry and Ruby Port casks. Port is a sweet fortified wine; if Sherry's fruitiness leans towards red,

then Port leans towards blue-black, and Ruby Port is the lightest type of Port. Bottled at 46.2%.

The flavor profile is quite rich, with notes of blackberry, raisins, bitter orange marmalade, and cranberry jam, balanced by hints of nutmeg, cinnamon,

cloves, and pepper. Sweetness from dark chocolate, roasted almonds, walnuts, mushrooms, earth, and honey and caramel provides further harmony.

Overall, it's more jammy and denser than Ode To The Embers, maintaining some dryness amidst the sweet fruitiness. Spices, nuts, and earthiness support its complexity.
