The Henriot family has been residing in the Champagne region of France since the 16th century. The Champagne Henriot brand was officially established in 1808 and has since become one of the leading estates in the Côte des Blancs. Currently, Henriot owns 25 hectares of vineyards located in Chouilly, Avize, and Épernay.
Henriot places great emphasis on its vineyards, harvesting grapes by hand from mid-September to mid-October with rigorous selection. The style centers on a high proportion of Chardonnay, showcasing a fresh, elegant, and exceptional flavor profile. After bottling, the champagne is aged slowly in natural limestone cellars in the Reims area, located 18 meters underground with a constant temperature of 11°C and humidity of 98%. The aging period is nearly twice the legal minimum, allowing the champagne to develop its peak flavors.
For over two centuries and through seven generations, Henriot has maintained consistent winemaking standards, dedicating equal passion and unwavering commitment to quality in every bottle. From grape selection to bottling, the Henriot family personally participates in every step, fully expressing their unique winemaking philosophy. Their champagnes have been favored by royal families in the Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, and other countries.
Awarded “Sparkling Winemaker of the Year” in 2015 and 2016
Received the Len Evans Trophy for 5 Year Consistency at the International Wine Challenge in 2018
Founded by Apolline Henriot in 1808, Champagne Henriot is one of the rare independent Champagne houses continuously owned by the same family since its inception. The Henriot style is known for combining refined elegance and freshness with aromatic complexity, with Chardonnay always playing a central role.
One of the keys to Henriot’s consistent quality is the supply of high-quality grapes from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, especially those in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. These vineyards form the backbone of Henriot’s aromatic, balanced, and long-lived champagnes.
