Hibiki 響 17 Years Old 金花 第五版  Blended Japanese Whisky

Hibiki 17 Years Old is a classic and iconic blended whisky from the Suntory Hibiki series, first released in 1989. The fifth edition of Hibiki 17 blends 36 malt whiskies matured for over 20 years from the Yamazaki Distillery, delivering an elegant and profound complexity. The whisky embodies the design concept of "harmony" and "resonance." Its 24-faceted bottle represents the 24 hours in a day and the 24 seasons of the year, symbolizing the preciousness of time and the craftsmanship in whisky making.

In terms of flavor, Hibiki 17 offers aromas of ripe fruits such as peach and dried apricot, complemented by creamy sweetness and floral honey notes, along with spicy oak and the distinctive oriental character from Mizunara oak barrels. The palate is exceptionally smooth and rounded, richly layered and well balanced, with a long and warm finish.

Due to limited stocks of high-aged malt whisky, Suntory announced the discontinuation of Hibiki 17 in 2018, making it a prized collector’s item. The fifth edition represents both the classic style of the brand and the Japanese whisky pursuit of harmony in art.
