Hibiki Blossom Harmony 2026 (Sakura Cask Limited Edition) is a limited-edition blended whisky released annually by Suntory in the spring since 2021. It is aged in Sakura casks, giving the whisky a unique cherry blossom aroma and elegant woody flavor, and is hailed as "the most suitable whisky for spring drinking."

🌸 Product Background and Brewing Process

Blossom Harmony Series: Since 2021, Suntory has released a limited-edition Blossom Harmony every spring, aged in Sakura casks, giving the whisky a unique cherry blossom aroma and elegant woody flavor, making it highly collectible and a great gift.

2026 Vintage Features: The 2026 vintage was officially released on May 26, 2026. It retains the classic 24-faceted bottle design, paired with an Echizen-washi label. The bottle design is inspired by the traditional craft of "Yobitsugi," symbolizing harmony and reunion.

Blended Spirit: Based on malt and grain whiskies from the three major distilleries of Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita, it is blended with long-aged grain whiskies matured in cherry blossom casks, giving the spirit a unique cherry blossom aroma and elegant woody flavor.

👃 Tasting Notes

Color: A deep amber color with a coppery sheen, as brilliant as the afterglow of a sunset.

Aroma (Nose): The aroma is extremely complex and layered, exuding fragrant floral notes (cherry blossom, osmanthus), fresh olives, acacia honey, ripe pear, and sweet chestnut fruit, interwoven with deep hints of oak, vanilla, spices, chocolate, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche, honey, salted lemon, green apple, olives, roasted pineapple, biscuits, salted caramel, white chocolate, and licorice.

Palate: Silky smooth on the palate, the sweet acacia honey, ripe pear, white grape, and toffee flavors fill the mouth, accompanied by bright natural acidity and cherry blossom tannins. It is sweet but not cloying, with excellent balance. The mid-palate reveals complex layers of oak, spices, nuts, cocoa, berries, fruitcake, almond, and honey-nut, with a full body, clean and crisp texture, moderate sweetness, and a highly invigorating effect.

Finish: The finish is medium to long, leaving a lingering sweetness of cherry blossom cake, nuts, cocoa, fruit, honey, stone fruit, caramel, smoked tea, and oak tannins. The overall taste is both sweet and savory, making it a wine with great potential for food pairing.
