🥃Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart Single Malt Whisky🥃

This is a very rich and complex single malt whisky. Opening with rich, spicy aromas of creme brulee, heather honey, and crushed cinnamon, it's followed by a rich fruitiness—fresh pineapple with sun-kissed lemon zest.
There's also a bit of freshly baked sponge cake, warmed up from the oven, and you'll find cinnamon again, but this time in toasted pieces. Citrus and vanilla linger in the aromatic wave of peat smoke.
To create Viking Heart 15 Year Old, our Master Whisky, Gordon Motion, has chosen primarily sherry-flavored European oak casks to deliver the warm, spicy flavors, while sherry-flavored American oak casks provide a sweet vanilla balance. Gordon has deftly added several complementary casks to soften and smooth the flavour, opting to bottle it at 44% ABV to let the whisky's vibrant fruitiness and distinctive heather peat smoke shine through.
Why use a ceramic decanter? Rewind a century or two and our whisky would be stored in earthenware. Inspired by an example we found at our Orkney distillery, we asked Wade Ceramics if they could work with us to create a modern version. Founded in 1810 and based in Stoke-on-Trent, England (world-famous home of traditional pottery), Wade shares our commitment to environmental responsibility with a focus on sustainable manufacturing and the use of locally sourced raw materials.
The lead-free porcelain bottles are 100% food safe, are glazed inside and out, and feature lion and snake prints on many of our glass bottles. Look closely at the back of the bottle and you'll find the heart that inspired this whisky's name.
