Johnnie Walker Blue Label Year of the Rooster 2017

This is a limited edition Lunar New Year release from Johnnie Walker Blue Label for the Year of the Rooster (2017). The spirit uses Blue Label's classic blending recipe and is not a special vintage or a spirit created specifically for the Year of the Rooster. The bottle features a blue gradient design with a gold rooster motif; the original gift box also features gold leaf decorations and the signature of Master Blender Jim Beveridge.

Design and Versions

The Year of the Rooster edition draws inspiration from four symbolic images of the rooster: "the crowing rooster, the pioneer, the trailblazer, and the adventurer," with the bottle design resembling a Chinese scroll painting; when the four bottles are placed side-by-side, the images form a complete scene.

Different regional and design versions were also available in 2017, with some markets also having a Malaysian exclusive; therefore, pay attention to the bottle design, volume, and alcohol content, and do not judge the price solely based on the "Year of the Rooster" label.
