Kilchoman 2008 Vintage Release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Established in 2005, Kilchoman (pronounced Kil-ho-man) is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. Based on a farm on the rugged west coast of Islay, Kilchoman was the first distillery to be built on the island for 125 years.

Kilchoman displays all that is great about the grass-roots traditions of Scotch whisky distilling and truly is Islay's farm distillery - from barley to bottle.

This is the first seven year old general release and has been matured in bourbon barrels for over seven years.

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Powerful, integrated peat smoke, spice, dark chocolate, vanilla and citrus.

Palate: Wonderful balance of peat smoke, sweetness and tropical fruit.

Finish: Long and sweet, lingering peat smoke, well balanced with cooked fruit flavours.
