Kilkerran 16 Years Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Kilkerran Distillery was founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, son of Archibald Mitchell, founder of nearby Springbank. Glengyle had bad luck and closed for good in 1925.

Until November 2000, Mitchell Glengyle Limited was led by Hedley Wright (Springbank), the great-great-grandson of William Mitchell. ) announced the purchase of the old Glengyle building, thus returning the distillery to the hands of its founding family.

The first distillate of the reborn Glengyle came out of the still on 7th March 2004, yes exactly 16 years ago...

Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 after closing in 1925.

Kilkerran Single Malt Whisky 16 Years Old, produced by double distillation, is slightly peated and is a single malt whisky aged only in ex-bourbon casks.

Nose：Floral and pastry aromas, a mix of puff pastry, lemon meringue and fresh grass, with hints of pineapple and a slight hint of the sea.

Palate：Complex on the palate, with flavors of vanilla, grains, beeswax, pineapple, apricot and black pepper, with a hint of peat.

Finish：Smooth, with lemon and vanilla meringue. Oily and salty, as one would expect from a Campbelltown malt.
