Description

Kilkerran Distillery was founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, son of Archibald Mitchell, founder of nearby Springbank. Glengyle had bad luck and closed for good in 1925.


Until November 2000, Mitchell Glengyle Limited was led by Hedley Wright (Springbank), the great-great-grandson of William Mitchell. ) announced the purchase of the old Glengyle building, thus returning the distillery to the hands of its founding family.

Kilkerran Single Malt Whisky 8 Years Old, Sherry Cask Cask Strength.Distilled at Glengyle Distillery, this single malt whisky is aged for eight years in carefully selected sherry casks. During this time, the whisky absorbs the rich flavors and characteristics of the cask, developing a complex and rich taste that reflects the distillery's craftsmanship.

Nose: The nose has enticing aromas of dried fruits, rich chocolate and warm spices.
Palate: Complex on the palate with dried figs, caramelized nuts, dark chocolate and a touch of oak, all complemented by the richness provided by the sherry casks.
Finish: The long, satisfying finish leaves a lasting impression of dried fruit and mild warmth.
