Description

Château Mouton Rothschild, located on the left bank of Bordeaux in Pauillac, is a First Growth in the 1855 classification. Le Petit Mouton is its second wine, made from younger vines from the Grand Vin vineyards and some wine not used for the Grand Vin. It retains the classic Mouton family style but is more palatable at an earlier age.

Flavor Profile: Deep red with purple hues, the aroma is dominated by blackcurrant, blackberry, redcurrant, and blackberry jam, with hints of licorice, black pepper, rosehip tea, earth, moss, and graphite.

The palate is medium to full-bodied, with concentrated and rich black fruit flavors. The tannins are mature, fine, and rounded. A bright acidity infuses the wine with freshness and tension. The mid-palate is smooth and rounded, with a long finish, leaving a pure blackcurrant, graphite, licorice, and mild spice finish.
