Lou Dumont Grand Vin de Bourgogne Ladoix 2022 is a village-level red Burgundy from the Ladoix-Serrigny appellation at the northern end of Côte de Beaune. Maison Lou Dumont was founded in 2000 by Japanese winemaker Koji Nakada and Korean-born Jae Hwa Park, known for small-scale, terroir-focused Burgundy with a low-intervention approach.

Vinification & Style
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this wine showcases Ladoix's characteristic bright red fruit, earthy savouriness and supple tannins. The 2022 vintage in Burgundy was exceptionally warm, with early ripening and plump berries, while cool nights preserved natural acidity, achieving a precise balance between ripeness and freshness that Ladoix's sun-exposed slopes express particularly well.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright ruby red with garnet reflections.
Nose: Cherry, strawberry, red raspberry, with subtle spice, earth and floral notes.
Palate: Smooth and balanced, with red-berry fruit, gentle tannins, a hint of earth and harmonious structure. The mid-palate shows good depth with savoury undertones and fine minerality.
Finish: Pleasing and persistent, with lingering red fruit, spice and subtle earthy complexity.

Serving & Pairing
Decanting: Open 30–45 minutes before serving; extended decanting generally unnecessary.
Serving temperature: 15–16°C.
Food pairing: Roast chicken, duck breast, roast goose, pork chop, mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, grilled lamb, char siu with restrained sweetness, and semi-soft cheeses such as Brie or Comté.

Drinking Window
Enjoy from now through approximately 2030–2033. With bottle age, the fruit will develop more savoury, earthy and spice complexity while maintaining suppleness and freshness.
