Description
Martell Chanteloup Perspective Extra was a discontinued premium Extra Cognac from Martell, blended from 450 rare eaux-de-vie from the four major Cognac appellations. It was rich, fruity, and elegantly rounded. Now replaced by Chanteloup XXO, it holds collectible and vintage value.

Chanteloup is Martell's estate in the Borderies, boasting Europe's longest aging cellar at 250 meters. One area storing approximately 2,000 barrels of premium eaux-de-vie faces a viewpoint overlooking the adjacent valley, hence the name "Perspective."

This cognac is a masterpiece of the cellar master blender's skill: fusing the characteristics of the four appellations to showcase Martell's signature roundness, delicacy, and elegance.

Flavor Characteristics
Color: Deep amber with a shimmering sheen.

Aromas: Honey, vineyard peach, apricot, fig, candied fruit, almond, and walnut.

Palate: Round and full-bodied, with rich fruit flavors, hints of candied fruit, gingerbread, honey, vanilla, and cloves; 
balanced structure, possessing both power and elegance.

Finish: Long, sweet with lingering candied citrus and nutty notes.

Serving Suggestion: Compared to Martell XO, Chanteloup Perspective is rounder and more refined, with more pronounced nutty and ripe dried fruit flavors; overall, it belongs to the elegant, easy-drinking yet profound Extra cognac category.

It is best enjoyed neat, ideally in a tulip or Glencairn glass, first inhaling the aromas before sipping; it also pairs well with dark chocolate, macarons, cigars, or dessert cheeses.
