Established in 1823, Mortlach Distillery was Dufftown's first legal distillery and has long set the standard.

To this day, this unique Speyside owes much to the courageous vision of its greatest owners, George Cowie and his son Dr Alexander Mitchell Cowie,

They pioneered the complex "2.81 Distillation" process. Refined and elegant, Mortlach stands out from its regional counterparts, with a rich flavor overlaying traditional sweetness.

Product introduction:

The Mortlach 14-year-old whisky is nicknamed Alexander's Way in honor of the distillery's previous owner, Alexander Cowie.

Thanks to Alexander Cowie, Mortlach refined its spirit 2.81 times, a rather unique process known as "The Way". so,

There you have it, Alexander's Way. This expression has been matured in complementary bourbon and sherry casks for 14 years, with plenty of creaminess and jam-packed spice.

Aroma: Lemon zest and lemon curd, upside-down apple cake, cinnamon sponge cake and vanilla buttercream with a hint of spice.

Palate: Lots of spice with notes of ginger, cloves, nutmeg and white pepper, balanced by floral notes, dry tea, melted white chocolate, peaches and cream, sweet malt and earthy oak.

Finish: More warm ginger returns, with grapefruit peel and polished oak.
