Noon Reserve Shiraz 2022

Noon Winery's Reserve Shiraz 2022 is a very large, well-structured, and somewhat "civilized" Langhorne Creek Shiraz from Australia,

described by the winery as possibly "one of our best Reserve Shirazs."

Winery/Region: Noon Winery, Langhorne Creek 20 Rows Block, South Australia. Grown 100% Shiraz by the Borrett family.

Winemaking: Aged for approximately 18 months in small 300L French and American oak barrels, with about 30-40% new oak, emphasizing "less oak,

more fruit, and structure."

Style: Full-bodied and high in concentration, yet still balanced, following a "powerful + elegant" approach, generating considerable buzz.

Aroma: Rich in dark berries such as blackberry and blueberry, paired with spices like pepper, allspice, and cinnamon, plus a touch of tannins and old wood notes. Some even perceive a slight saltiness (a typical "saltiness" of Langhorne Creek), butter/molasses, and smokiness.

Palmistry: Full-bodied and bursting with fruit flavors, while maintaining a solid tannin structure. The texture is rounded, not dry or spicy, with a long and balanced finish, described as "big...but still balanced."

Overall Impression: Not overly sweet or overly spicy, but rather a perfect balance of fruit, spice, and structure, like a "large rock with a smooth exterior"—a memorable flavor profile.
