Old Pulteney is recognized by veteran whisky players as one of the finest and most unique single malt Scotch whiskies in the world. As a world-renowned high-quality whisky, Old Fortney is rooted in tradition and inheritance, and is the representative of marine-style single malt whisky, with a hint of sea salt flavor. The Old Forteney Distillery was built in 1826 by Mr. James Henderson. The distillery was named after the family name of Sir William Johnstone Pulteney, then Member of Parliament and Governor of the British Fisheries Association. name.

Old Fortney is located in the town of Wick on the tip of the northeastern coast of Scotland, even 3 degrees north of Moscow. The town of Wick was famous for its fishing and whisky industry back then. It was rich in silver herring and golden whisky, so it is said that Wick town is an industry with "gold and silver". As the years passed, the local fishing industry gradually declined, and Pulteney also experienced ups and downs. Fortunately, it still stands tall and is famous in the whisky world for its adherence to traditional skills. In 1995 Pulteney was bought by Inver House Distillers Ltd. and renamed Old Pulteney.
