Patrick Piuze Chablis 1er Cru Roncières 2022 is a classic single-vineyard wine from Chablis's top winemaker, Patrick Piuze. Its high score of RP91 affirms its rich texture and balanced vibrancy.

Located on the east-facing slope of Vaillons 1er Cru, on 100% Chardonnay soils of shale and limestone Kimmeridgian soil, the hot 2022 vintage brings an unusually rich style. Fermented and aged in oak barrels, it has an alcohol content of approximately 13% and aging potential until 2028+.

Flavor Characteristics:

Aroma: Opening with clear honey, peach, and creamy pastry, accompanied by citrus blossom and a hint of smoked bread, the layers unfolding with the air.

Palmistry: Broad and full-bodied, with intense fruitiness, malt, almond, and mineral salt notes, driven by vibrant acidity, and a smooth yet not heavy texture.

Finish: Medium-long, with citrus peel, salt, and dry minerality, finishing elegantly. Serving suggestions: Serve at 8-10°C, decan for 30 minutes, and use a white wine glass; pair well with oysters, lobster, or creamy seafood, utilizing their rich texture and minerality to enhance the flavor.
