Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré is the second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, a prestigious classified growth from the Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux’s Médoc region. Made primarily from younger vines of the estate, this wine offers excellent quality and elegance, reflecting the style of the grand vin but with earlier approachability.

This blend is typical of Left Bank Bordeaux, with Cabernet Sauvignon providing structure and aging potential, Merlot adding fruitiness and softness, and Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc contributing aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a deep purple to almost black color. Aromas are rich and layered with fresh blackcurrant, wild blueberry, blackberry, lavender, cedar, baking spices, smoke, and floral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with firm yet fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a full, harmonious structure. The finish is long with mineral nuances and hints of vanilla and licorice.
