Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2023 Cork is a classic "Baby Grange" from the Australian winery Penfolds, a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Shiraz, sourced from vineyards in various regions of South Australia, including McLaren Vale, Padthaway, and Barossa Valley.

Created in 1960 by Max Schubert, it was aged for 12 months in American oak barrels (33% new) from the previous Grange vintage. It has an alcohol content of 14.5%, is bottled with a cork, and balances the structure of the Cabernet with the rich fruitiness of the Shiraz.

The aroma is bursting with blackberry, blackcurrant, licorice, plum, spices, and oak vanilla. The mid-palate is rich and full, with fine tannins, crisp acidity, and a long finish with minerality and umami.
