Remy Martin Napoleon Extra Old Fine Champagne 1990's-2000's


This is a mature, rounded cognac with a style shaped by toasted, woody notes. Typical aromas include dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, leather, spice, ripe plum, and orange peel.

In the cognac world, “Napoleon” usually suggests a more premium, more mature classification, often thought of as sitting between VSOP and XO in traditional terms. However, the actual ageing period still depends on the house and the specific release period.

One of the charms of aged cognac lies in its vintage character, so the label and bottle condition may not be perfect and can vary from bottle to bottle. Most older bottles are sealed with natural cork, which is flexible but can become brittle after decades of contact with the spirit; an “Ah So” opener is recommended so the cork can be eased out carefully.
