R.H. Coutier Grand Cru Burt Rose NV Champagne ( RP92 )

R.H. Coutier comes from Ambonnay, a Grand Cru village in Montagne de Reims. The family-owned winery has cultivated 9 hectares of vineyards since 1619, primarily Chardonnay (the winery first planted Chardonnay in Ambonnay in 1946). This Rosé is based on 85% Chardonnay, with 15% Pinot Noir for coloring. It has an alcohol content of 12.5%, a low Brut dosage (approximately 6-8 g/L), and is aged for at least 3 years, showcasing the pure vitality and elegance of the warm southern slope microclimate.

Flavor Characteristics:

Aroma: An explosion of red berries (such as strawberry and red cherry), flowers, mint, and crushed minerals, with a fresh vibrancy and layers of ripe fruit from the 2008 base wine.

Palmistry: Medium-bodied, with fine bubbles supporting the sweetness of the red fruit and the crisp, mineral structure of the Chardonnay. Balanced and not cloyingly sweet, with slight creaminess and a slate-like feel. Finish: Dry and persistent, with a harmonious blend of red fruit, floral notes, and saltiness, culminating in an elegant finish.
