Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025, this 11-year-old Speyside single malt has been meticulously matured in a 1st Fill Bolgheri Wine Hogshead, resulting in a rich, complex, and highly sought-after expression bottled at a robust 58.1% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich dried fruits intertwined with stewed red fruits, leather, and subtle spices. With aeration, notes of dark chocolate, walnuts, and the characteristic Mortlach meaty undertone gracefully emerge.
Palate: Full-bodied and delightfully oily, delivering powerful wine sweetness, dark chocolate, black pepper, and oak. Flavors of dark berries, dried fruits, caramel, and syrupy yellow fruits unfold, notably nutty with a spicy fruit salad character and a gentle smoky undertone.
Finish: Long, warming, and complex, featuring lingering spice, dark fruits, bitter cocoa, and a gentle bitterness. It remains warming with spicy oak and a subtle, elegant saline edge.
