Speyburn 14 Years 2006–2020 Sherry Single Cask 55.3% is an independently bottling Speyside single malt, distilled in 2006 and matured for 14 years in a single sherry cask (usually labeled First-fill or Sherry Butt). Bottled at 55.3% ABV, 700 ml, unfiltered, uncolored, and a limited-edition production.

Speyburn is known for its lightness, fruitiness, and subtle sherry sweetness. The 14-year sherry cask maturation, combined with its 55.3% strength, creates a more complex and multifaceted flavor profile:

Aromas: Honey, nectar, ripe pear, apple, raisins, dates, a hint of vanilla, caramel, dried fruit and subtle nuts, dried flowers, accompanied by gentle sherry woodiness and a touch of smokiness. Overall, it's sweet and rounded, yet retains the clean fruitiness of Speyside.

Palate: Full-bodied, the initial taste features honey, dried fruit, toffee, a touch of dark chocolate, and dried fruit, with a pronounced sherry sweetness. It also offers notes of oak spice, cinnamon, and a hint of pepper. Due to its high alcohol content, it's slightly spicy; adding water enhances its complexity.

Finish: Medium-long, dominated by sweet sherry, dried fruit, honey, and gentle woody spices. The finish has a slightly bitter/fruity note, typical of a high ABV sherry Speyburn.
