Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Napa Valley 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Spectator 94

Juicy and vibrant in feel, featuring a mix of blueberry, raspberry and red currant fruit flavors that play well with the light graphite, bergamot and floral nuances. The solid backdrop of roasted apple wood is well-integrated. Nicely put together, with acidity as much as tannins supporting the finish. (JM)

Decanter 93

Warren Winiarski planted what became known as SLV in 1970, and the 1973 vintage came top at the infamous Judgment of Paris tasting in 1976. Much has happened since, including Winiarski selling the winery, yet today SLV remains a terrific wine. Polished and refined, it's a personality loaded with dark berry, cherry, cedar, spice and vanilla, showing energy on the lingering finish. 95% new French oak. (LM)

ACHIEVED INTERNATIONA fame when three-year-old vines from the 1973 vintage produced a wine that bested some of France's greatest wines in a 1976 blind tasting now known as the Judgment of Paris. This history making vineyard continues to produce wines of multi-layered complexity, firm structure, and spicy intensity-suggesting ageability and enjoyment for decades to come.
