Suntory Royal “Hitsuji-doshi” 2003 Year of the Sheep Ceramic Commemorative Bottle is a zodiac-themed ceramic-bottle blended whisky released by Suntory to celebrate the 2003 Year of the Sheep (Guimei). It uses Suntory Royal 12 Year Old as its whisky base and is presented in a hand-shaped, hand-painted sheep ceramic bottle with its original gift box, making it a Japanese whisky with an aged whisky character, festive New Year symbolism, and collectible value.

The 2003 Sheep edition features a gentle sheep resting on a green grass base, with ceramic details including wool texture and glazing that showcase Suntory’s signature craftsmanship in its zodiac bottle series. In Japanese and wider East Asian culture, the sheep often symbolizes family harmony, gentleness, and good fortune, making this bottle especially suitable for New Year celebrations or as a gift.

Part of the charm of aged Whisky is its age, therefore the condition of the labels and bottles will not be perfect and may vary from one bottle to another. Most old wines use corks.
