Talisker The Wild Blue

Talisker The Wild Blue is the first expression from Talisker to be finished for 16 months in red wine casks from coastal South Africa, infusing classical maritime Talisker with rich red fruit and a complex saline-smoky profile.
: Red berries (mulberry, raspberry), figs, sultanas, underlying maritime smoke, cured bacon, seaweed, citrus notes, black pepper, menthol and hints of pipe tobacco.
: Immediate burst of black pepper and coastal sharpness, followed by cranberries, lemons, wine-driven tannins, and smoke. Salt and orchard fruit appear mid-palate, all wrapped in Talisker's distinctive briny character. Medium to full-bodied.: Medium to long, with sweet smoke, black pepper, charcoal, leather dryness.

: For the first time, Talisker used South African coastal red wine casks, reflecting the wild, windswept coast that inspires the distillery.
: £3 from every bottle goes to the Blue Marine Foundation to support restoration of UK coastal oyster reefs and seagrass habitats, with a total pledge over £112,000.
