William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre 2020 is from one of Chablis's top Premier Cru plots, produced by the renowned William Fèvre estate. Part of the estate's organic farming series, it showcases a classic balance of minerality and fruit, earning a very high rating of 94 points from RP.

Château: William Fèvre, one of the largest landowners in Chablis, owns multiple plots in Montée de Tonnerre. The wines are known for their pure style, minimal use of new oak barrels, and emphasis on terroir.

Vintage: 2020. The warm vintage results in full-bodied fruit while maintaining sharp acidity. The estate describes it as a "revenge" (a rebirth after years of frost).

Aging: 13-14 months in aged oak barrels (average 6 years), 40-50% aged in fine steel tubs, preserving a distinct mineral character.

Flavor Profile

Aroma: Fresh orchard fruit (apple, pear), white flowers, candied citrus, oats, with subtle hints of minerality and sea salt.

Palmistry: Medium to full-bodied, silky and round, with a delicate depth at its core, supported by racing-grade acidity, and a prominent savory flavor.

Finish: Extending long tail, elegant and balanced; Burghound praises it as "stylish and age-worthy."
