Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017


The Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017 is the final release in the annual limited-edition series that ran from 2014 to 2017, and it is a non-age-statement single malt whisky.

Crafted by Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, the bottle features imagery of the Yamazaki distillery’s warehouses and a gold “Yamazaki” script, giving it a strong focus on collectability and gifting.

Nose: Ripe strawberry jam, honeydew melon, red berries, cream and soft cocoa, with elegant oak, dried fruits and a hint of orange peel.

Palate: Sweet, fruity flavours of ripe persimmon, mandarin orange, apricot jam and tea-like tannins. The body is medium, with a smooth texture that is slightly dry and spicy, showing high complexity.

Finish: Oak, spice and gentle heat, with touches of caramel and toasted wood bitterness, leading to a long, lingering finish.
