Yaso Gin Yuzu
This rich gin combines the freshness of yuzu, the rich bitterness of yuzu peel, and the fragrance of juniper berries.
We aimed to create a YASO GIN YUZU that blends Japanese and Western elements. To this end, in addition to yuzu peel and juniper berries, we added Japanese botanicals such as Japanese pepper, shiso leaves, and tea leaves, as well as Western spices such as coriander seeds and cinnamon leaves.
This further enhances the depth of flavor, and the final product allows you to enjoy the harmonious integration of other botanicals while retaining the rich flavor of yuzu.
YASO GIN YUZU is also a blend of raw materials that are distilled separately in several parts. The part that is distilled only by soaking juniper berries, and the part that is distilled directly without soaking, are both distilled by heated atmospheric distillation.
The amount of juniper berries is larger than before, and they are soaked in base liquor the day before, and then distilled directly. This allows the flavor of the juniper berries to be better extracted.
Basil leaves, pepper, cinnamon leaves, coriander seeds, etc. are all distilled by vacuum distillation to make full use of the aroma of the raw materials themselves. We change the distillation method, distill separately, and finally blend, focusing on details such as the subtle differences in aroma and the balance of flavor.
After mixing with tonic water, it becomes a fruity gin and tonic that brings out the rich bitterness of grapefruit peel and the juicy flavor of juniper. Mixed with soda water, it has a refreshing and natural taste, fully showing the freshness of grapefruit, as well as the fragrance of pepper and coriander, which is very suitable for pairing with meals. After brewing with hot water, the aroma of grapefruit will gradually spread, and the slightly bitter grapefruit peel and the deliciousness of juniper are intertwined, which is refreshing. If you want to pair it with snacks, we recommend white chocolate or dried fruits.
