Story and Inspiration

This whisky, co-selected by The Whiskyfind and Grand Distillery, draws inspiration from 1960s American culture. Against the backdrop of a turbulent era, hippies championed the spirit of "love and peace," infusing anti-war, freedom, and inclusivity into music, fashion, and culture.

From Caol Ila, one of Islay's most iconic single malt whisky distilleries, this 11-year-old Hogshead single cask whisky captures the distillery's captivating peaty smokiness, like waves surging with vitality on calm seas. The theme of "youth is beautiful," like this whisky, radiates youthful energy and hope, reminding us that even as times change, we must cherish our own "Good Old Days."

This whisky is limited to 290 bottles, a must-have for both first-time peaty enthusiasts and seasoned connoisseurs.

Aroma (Nose): The initial scent is a rich sweetness of coconut sugar and cream, followed by fresh floral honey notes and a tangy lemon peel aroma. A deeper layer of herbal notes intertwines with delicate woody smoke and peat, creating a bright yet complex aroma.

Palate: The palate is immediately rich and creamy with a strong smoky character, followed by the unique saltiness of coconut sugar and salted oysters, reminiscent of a sea breeze. A subtle hint of disinfectant spiciness adds complexity, like layers of ocean waves.

Finish: The finish is long and unforgettable, with alternating notes of fruit and peat, leaving a smoky and sea-salty aftertaste that lingers in the mouth, creating a sensory impact.
