J.L. Vergnon Conversation Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut (RP90)


100% Chardonnay: From the Cote des Blancs region of Champagne, the most prized area for Chardonnay grape cultivation.

Made with Le Mesnil-sur-Oger grapes, and blended with small amounts of Oger and Avize Grand Cru grapes, resulting in a consistently refined style with strong lines and a pronounced minerality.

Winemaking: 80% vintage wine plus 20% aged wine. Some are aged in oak barrels for 3 months, followed by a secondary fermentation in the bottle. It is then aged in the cellar for at least 3 years before being disgorged and bottled.

Aromas and Flavors: Aromas of green apple, lemon, pear, white flowers, toast, biscuit, and hazelnut, sometimes with hints of tropical fruit, pastry, or coconut.

On the palate, it is typically medium to full-bodied with fine, lively bubbles, good and vibrant acidity, and a finish dominated by chalky, salty, and mineral notes.
