Thompson Bros. Bruichladdich 2006 13 Years Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A single cask Bruichladdich bottled by the ever reliable Thompson Bros. This bourbon barrel was filled in 2006 and bottled 13 years later. Expect a classic example from the distillery with white fruits, vanilla and coastal notes. The label features the lighthouse on the spectacular Rinns of Islay

Tasting notes:

Nose: Wonderful bourbon barrel, delicate charcoal notes, buttery sweetness, luscious creaminess, almonds, leaves, coastal pebbles, mango and cocoa nibs.

Taste: Taste: Perfectly balanced bourbon barrel flavor, butter, coconut, and vanilla. Barley syrup, almond butter, vanilla cream and pineapple sugar.

Finish: cocoa beans and tropical fruits, slightly spiced cream.
