In the 16th century, a handmade glass family moved to Venice, the capital of glass at that time, and gave the family a new name "Casanova (French: Cazanove)", which means "new home". This is Cazanove. The origin of the family name.

In 1811, 24-year-old Charles Gabriel De Cazanove founded this family brand in the heart of the Côte des Blanc.

After four generations of inheritance, Champagne Charles de Cazanove has been recognized by all parties for its outstanding wines with a history of 200 years.

Christophe Rapeneau, now the winemaker of Charles de Cazanove Champagne, is the fifth generation of the family. He studied oenology at Hanse University. After graduation, he joined the winery in 1983 and spent many years innovating the winery's fermentation and production facilities to make the winery more modern. In 2017, he won the title of Best Sparkling Wine Winemaker.

It once belonged to Martini & Rossi and Groupe Moët – Hennessy (LVMH) groups. Until 2004, the winery decided to return to the family business and focus on creating a brand of champagne that truly belongs to the spirit of Cazanove.

At the same time, Charles de Cazanove serves business class wine for American Airlines/Hongkong Airlines/SilkAir/ANA and many airlines!
