Smokehead 18 Year Old Extra Black, a limited edition of approximately 6,000 bottles, is a mysterious 18-year-old Islay single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a striking all-black skull bottle. The aroma is a deep blend of peaty smoke, iodine, sea breeze, and spices and herbs, with hints of banana, lemon, and sweet malt. On the palate, it's a balance of sweet and smoky notes, with campfire ash, smoked ham, and sea salt, complemented by vanilla, dark chocolate, licorice, and nutty oils. The finish is long with traces of cocoa powder and peaty smoke. For those who love peaty brews and want to try aged Islay distilleries, this is definitely worth collecting and savoring.

Aroma (Nose): Very peaty and smoky, with medicinal, sea breeze, ash, and a touch of rubber.

Also present are spices, herbs, tropical fruits (such as banana), lemon/citrus, honey, and sweet malt, creating a rich and complex flavor profile.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied on the palate, initially peat smoke, campfire ash, salted ham/smoked meat, iodine, sea salt, and pepper.

This is followed by vanilla, sweet oak, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, nuts, licorice, and a touch of oiliness. The overall palate is a balance of sweetness and smoke.

Finish: Medium to long, with lingering peat smoke, spices, cocoa powder/cocoa shell, and hints of fruity sweetness and a salty sea breeze flavor.
