Story
Yann Durieux, despite his young age, has already gained a legendary reputation as a vigneron in both the Bourgogne and fine wine communities, as well as the global natural wine scene. After working at the renowned Domaine Prieure Roch for over 10 years, he established Recrue Des Sens and acquired a small 2.5-hectare plot in the lesser-known Hautes Côtes de Nuits, located within the renowned Côte d’Or.
During his time at Domaine Prieure Roch, he developed a deep understanding of classical Bourgogne grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Aligote, and Pinot Noir, and mastered the art of natural winemaking with unwavering love and respect. Through his unswerving dedication to perfection and relentless pursuit of expressing the essence of terroir, he has crafted wines of unparalleled depth, precision, and remarkable vitality.
In order to pursue a more unrestricted winemaking style, Yann chose to downgrade all of his wines to the lowest French classification – Vin de France, to avoid any restrictions in the cultivation and winemaking process. Since ‘Vin de France’ is not required to indicate the vintage by regulations, he decided to conceal the vintage on the back label.
